Escape

I wish my thoughts would escape me,
Leave me stranded.
To have to find my way home somewhere safer.
Where I can control my destiny.
To pick something more like pillows,
Made of cotton candy and lullabies.
Giving me sweet dreams and Suttle mornings.
Where all things are good,
Like honey suckles at PE.
When life was simple,
And stress was only on spelling Bees.
I wish my thoughts would escape me.
Leave out the negativity.
That continues to take my breath away.
And not like dresses made of white lace,
But the way haunted houses keep your eyes pierced.
Like a roller coaster that has yet to stop falling.
As if the air had been polluted by a thousand smokers.
All blowing in your direction.
I wish my thoughts would escape me.
Yet A.N.X.I.E.T.Y has made her bed.
And now dwells there.
Dodging eviction notices.
Staying up at all hours of the night.
Like a roach that doesn't fear man,
Making a debut even when others are around.
I wish I could escape my thoughts.
