No Place Like Home

Every image,
Replaying so vividly.
As I close my eyes,
And find you there.
Caressing my frame,
As if a delicate vase.
Taunting my flower,
As she blooms on your command.
You are the leader.
As I follow your que.

Please don't stop.
You are a weakness,
Yet you have given me strength.
And you remind me of my beauty,
As if to question why doubt ever left my mouth.
Your kisses like pillows,
Making me wonder if this is a dream.
Hoping to awaken by your smile,
And the bass in your voice.
I promise to never love so deeply again.
But you have me drowning.
And maybe if you knew,
You would come to my rescue.
Carry me to safety in your arms.
What you do to me is unknown.
But I'm fully aware.
And maybe I should keep my distance,
But there is no place like home.

Cranes In The Heart

  I tried to do it myself, Dived into conversations with my inner thoughts. Making scenarios. Analyzing the what ifs. The if you were mine I would never need another comforter.  My bed would be warm, My legs wouldn’t be able to keep up with the room. I tried to eat it away.  Finding space in my stomach,  For the sweets that resembled your appearance.  Hersheys that I’m sure couldn’t compare to your kisses.  I tried to drink it away.  Altering my mind in hopes that you would disappear. But my mind found more visions of you.  More time to think of how you aren’t mine to claim, To indulge.  I tried to pray it away,  Knew for fact that God would hear my prayers. But instead,  The devil was listening.  He slithered into the Pot, Her r esisting only left to a mere apple that she dared to bite.
